Our Parish

Welcome to the parish of Arklow. While separate in structure, the parish is served by the one parish team, with the single aim of building up believing and caring communities.

During the boom years our parishes expanded rapidly. People from all corners of the country and world chose to make their home here. The boom years have well and truly gone and many people in our community are unfortunately feeling the effects. In these difficult times we strive to have hope and to rediscover the importance and support of family, faith, community and belonging.

It is our hope that our website will contribute to uniting all who live here and help to build up our community, so that people will be fulfilled in their own lives and families, and be willing to share their time and talents for the benefit of their neighbour, parish and community.

Parish Pilgrimage

The Annual Parish Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place during September.Parish Pilgrimage addresses the need to set aside time for journeying and spend time in prayer and reflection. Always in a group there is a sense of support and helping to achieve more awareness of the communal aspect of faith.During the year trips to Knock and Our Lady’s Island take place.
